

The Successful Launch of the Master of Science in Transportation and Logistics 2025
An Impressive Start to an International Learning Journey
On March 8 – 9, 2025, the Master of Science in Transportation and Logistics program of the Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST), was officially launched.
In the collaboration scope between SIMI and MUST, we are pleased to share this milestone, marking a significant step in enhancing educational quality in Logistics, Transportation, and Supply Chain Management.
The opening event not only provided valuable insights into the program but also gave students the opportunity to connect and participate in an in-depth colloquium featuring leading industry experts.

“The Future of Supply Chains: Balancing Sustainability and Strategy” Class – A Highlight of the Program
The class attracted a large number of students, faculty members, and distinguished guests, providing strategic and practical perspectives on sustainability in supply chains. Two special guest speakers made a lasting impression during the event:
- Mr. Vigneshwaran Seenivasan – A leading expert in maritime fuel management, who successfully recovered USD 28 million in fuel fraud cases. He shared insights into the challenges and solutions for ensuring fuel supply chain transparency and efficiency.
- Mr. Saravanavelu Rethina Velu – A warehouse and distribution management specialist with nearly 30 years of experience in the logistics industry. His presentation highlighted the role of technology and innovation in optimizing supply chains.
Their practical insights and in-depth analyses provided significant value to students, helping them gain a clearer perspective on sustainable development trends in logistics and transportation.
